8 WEEK JUNIOR PROGRAM
JANUARY 4TH - FEBRUARY 29TH
 

Celtic Elite offers a junior program for U4-U6 players. Our Junior Academy programs are a balanced and creative approach to individual player development. Program’s focus is to improve general coordination and body awareness; improve individual ball control and dribbling skills; introduce basic passing concepts; foster creativity. Program will consist of 45 minute session of high energy/fun training games with a 15 minute game at the end.

WINTER I. 1V1/SHOOTING
NOVEMBER 18th - DECEMBER 23rd   

The main goal of this Academy is to make players dominant attacking 1v1 players, players who are willing to take risks to break down defenses and take on defenders. Program is designed to help players build confidence and composure on the ball but more importantly, cleverness and creativity in taking on players. Program will consist of a variation of skills, common cuts and fakes as well moves by players such as Rivelino, Messi, Ronaldo, Matthews, Hazard, Best, Ronaldino and the list goes on and on. Each night will consist of learning new moves, performing them in 1v1 situations and finishing with a 4v4 game in which players will work on their decision making in a game environment

WINTER II. VISION/PASSING
JANUARY 6TH - FEBRUARY 10TH

Vision - The best skill any player can possess. Some believe Vision is something that you can not teach, that you either have it or you don’t. We at Celtic Elite show that Vision can be taught and that even players with average dexterity skills dramatically improve their effectiveness when they see the field. Program is designed to teach players to read the game, see their teammates and the movements of opponents. Players will also be introduced to the different techniques in striking a ball, being able to chip, bend and float passes. Academy will improve player’s speed of play, self confidence and creativity

. Players will be placed in groups depending on ability and playing experience

WINTER III. 7 SPEEDS OF SOCCER
FEBRUARY 24TH - MARCH 30TH
The seven speeds of soccer is a German concept and is part of the Performance Soccer Conditioning series. Speed is more than the physical speed of a player, such as when sprinting. Yes, physical sprinting speed is an important aspect of a player’s or a team’s performance. But when considering the number of sprints during a game relative to the length of the game it becomes evident that there is more to speed than running fast.

You have likely observed players who are a little older yet they get to the ball before a younger, physically faster opponent. How is that? It’s because the experienced player likely perceived the situation faster, anticipated the game faster, made a quicker decision as to where to move to, reacted to the final ball motion faster, moved into position without the ball quicker, got the ball and then likely played a quick pass increasing the speed of the game. And there you have them – the 7 speeds of soccer:

Perceptual Speed – Anticipation Speed – Decision Making Speed – Reaction Speed – Movement Speed without Ball – Action Speed with Ball – Game Action Speed
